Federica Selleri is a learning designer and a primary technology teacher from Italy.
Passionate about education and alternative learning, design, making and DIY, she is one of the founders of FabLab Valsamoggia, an active laboratory in the countryside between Bologna and Modena, member of the regional fab lab network (Mak-ER). Since 2016, as Head of Education of FabLab Valsamoggia, she designs and makes workshops and courses for local schools, children, teachers, retired and unemployed people, engaging them in the process of creation and development, and also supports other members of the laboratory in designing workshops of 3D printing, 2D and 3D modeling, coding.
Selleri has also been a member of the research project “scintillae – play and learning in the digital age”, promoted and led by Reggio Children Foundation and the LEGO Foundation. For two years she has designed and developed innovative ideas of merging maker culture, technology, play and education in formal and non-formal learning contexts, co-designing activities and experiences with children and teachers.
Selleri holds a BA in Graphic Design and Visual Communication (ISIA Urbino), a MA in Eco-Social Design (Free University of Bolzano/Bozen) and is a graduate of FabAcademy, the international course related to the FabLab Movement.
